Isaiah Mark Owens Graduated with Honors from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. His acting credits include a variety of productions "The Hairy Ape" by Eugene O'Neill and Peggy Douglas' "Elder's Speak." Mr. Owens is a budding playwright and screenwriter. During his senior year, he was the inaugural recipient of the "Sonia Young Emerging Playwright Award" from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  He wrote his thesis, "The Black Caucus:  A Theatrical Exploration of the Black Experience in a Predominantly White Institution," on the lives of his black peers and their experiences. He names August Wilson, Anna Deavere Smith, Jordan Peele, Brandon-Jacob Jenkins, Gaye Jeffers, and Tarell Alvin McCraney as his primary influences in the fields of playwriting and screenwriting.
